Museological Plan for the Site Museum of the Zonzamas Archaeological Site on the Island of Lanzarote (Canary Islands)

Commissioned by the Heritage Service, under the Department of Education, Publications, Data Centre, Insular Radio, Historical Heritage and Employment.

The work consists of a museological project setting out the rationale for a Site Museum, in dialogue with the architectural proposal and including guidance on the heritage display and considerations for managing the archaeological site. The museological project comprises several studies: an institutional analysis, an analysis of the archaeological potential and the collections, a proposal for functional spaces, museographic guidelines, a study of potential audiences and audience management, proposals for public, social and educational programmes, a communications plan, and a management proposal.
