Juan Antonio Rodríguez and Paula Paredes

Paula Paredes and Juan Antonio Rodríguez are part of the family. They have shared with us many museum and exhibition design and development projects (in the photo, running one of our chocolate programmes in the “Valencian re-cocina” at the National Museum of Decorative Arts).

\nJuan Antonio is a chemist by training, although his main profile and contribution lies in documentation work. He has focused above all on ethnology and anthropology, with strong command of ethnographic techniques and their application both to fieldwork and to the museographic display of ethnography. He has collaborated on projects such as the Costume Museum and the Museum of Folk Arts and Traditions. He has combined theoretical study with the performance of folk music and dance, and has curated history and ethnology exhibitions.

\nPaula Paredes is a conservator-restorer specialising in ethnographic materials, with a particular focus on textiles. She has collaborated on the development of historical museums such as the Hidalgo Museum, anthropological museums such as the Museum of Wine Sciences, and exhibitions such as ‘La Mancha de Don Quijote’. She has appeared as an actor in living-history programmes and historical reenactments, and has produced materials for numerous public programmes, educational programmes, children’s workshops and pop-up events.
